Many thanks for sharing this with us David. Your wood turning is gallery perfect and a credit to your skill in the subject. The bowls are beautiful and I can speak from first hand experience having been kindly given one of your London Plane square edged bowls; Bron and I think it is wonderful as is the cube puzzle you also generously gave us. Your workmanship cannot be beaten.
Wood turning is a hobby in its own right and could I please ask you to add information for novices wanting to have a go covering how much it would cost to get up and running. what are the current prices of lathes; chucks; turning tools and wood blanks?
It would be good to open up this subject further as wood turning can also be functional as in furniture making as well as in the very decorative items you have so far shown.
Do you do any between centres turning and have you any stories regarding using a skew chisel?
