On the weathering in front - you could dab the stone with a thin coating of natural live yogert which will encourage litchens to grow and mellow it in more quickly so I hear.
Talk about windy in the earlier posts - we had a tornado here yesterday which took the roof off our local shopping mall. Quite scary to see footage of it as it just destroyed everything in its path. Thankfully they are very rare here.
