Looks like that device will do a pretty good job. I've got an ancient Clare earth loop impedance tester which works very well. All analogue
But I have to bypass any RCDs to use it.
I mentioned the 200R resistance in post #4 and noted that it's still safe (though non-compliant) if it measures quite a bit higher.
