I have made quite a bit of improvement. There was two faults with it and the second one had to be fixed from inside and could not be done from the loft.
It was a valley problem and replacing a valley tile is a huge job so it had to be fixed by other means. There is a little bit more to do and then finishing off.
There is a couple more days work left before the ceiling can go back again. After that we are back onto the amp.
It is looking likely that the output valve that has slightly less silvering on it might be faulty and is to be tested when I get back on the job.
