Ok, this is a carry over from other threads I started on the chalet/ caravan in our garden.
First off...Technically for planning regs the structure is a caravan, but it's of timber construction, ie: no metal cladding or metal chassis.
I've been sorting the electrics out and other stuff for it over this last couple of weeks or so, all was going well until the other day, the gas man came to install the LPG gas hob, he said that the LPG cylinder (13kg jobie) had to be a minimum of 3 meters from the entrance door, this and the fact that the hob is a permanent installation meant that the supply from the LPG cylinder to the hob had to be via copper pipe.
Prior to all this I had extended the equipotential zone in the house to the caravan, the house is PME and the caravan supply is taken from the house consumer unit.
By now you can probably figure out the problem that the gas hob installation has presented.
So....It looks like separate earth system will be needed, not too sure what's what, earth spike/RCD/earth impedance etc ? Anyone know for sure, my fear is the ground around here, lot's of rocks etc.
Knowledge, tips etc welcome
Lawrence.
