As his picture shows, you only need two! If you were going to provide individual connectors for each battery, you would still need to solder on wire links.
The conventional pre-wired type, which you've probably already kicking around anyway, will do the trick. The wires on one will be needed to connect to the external connector terminals anyway and the other is easily modified either by shorting the wires together or, much neater, stripping the plastic cover and wires off and adding a shorting link.
If you can't find any, Farnell will sell you enough for five 90V batteries for only £2.23! (Plus VAT but free postage)
