In the 'wider world', I still think in Imperial Measures rather than Metric, so, e.g., I set the BBC Weather page to display the wind speed in MPH and the temperature in Fahrenheit, and, if a distance is given in Km, or a weight in Kg., etc., I convert them to Imperial measures, so that I better understand the quoted data. It's an age-related thing, I suppose! Regarding halloween, AFAIR, there was no 'Trick-or-Treating' back in the 50s, 60s, and even 70s, not in this area at any rate, although, AFAIK, the custom has Scottish roots. Back to electronics, although we all know what Anodes & Cathodes are, what do the words actually mean. No doubt, like many Electrical/Electronic terms, they are of Greek origin.
