Making money from vintage repairs - is it possible?

but I often joke about sticking a note in the co-op. "Radio Repairs! Get your tubes checked out!"

Since we're in the UK and not the US it would be better to say "valves" rather than "tubes". Even amongst vintage radio enthusiasts it sounds odd to say or write "tube radio" in the UK.

How's about "Ла́мпа"? Or even "электронные лампы"? This is how they are called in Russia.
