If you are tempted to use T Cut, I'd try it first in an inconspicuous spot, such as under the base of the cabinet. I'm not saying that it's unsatisfactory, but we wouldn't use Bakelite polish on a car, so why use T-Cut on Bakelite, when Greygate polish No 5 was specially formulated for polishing Bakelite? If you put a bit of each between your thiumb and forefinger, I think you'd find that T-Cut feels coarser than polish #5, which is more creamy to the touch.

Neither work well without the addition of a generous amount of elbow grease!
