I've got a Dell 1600n. Like all my computer gear it was a land-fill refugee. I've had no problems with it and I put a new cartridge in early last year which cost £12 and it's still showing 73% full.
Before that it was a Panasonic KXP-1180 which was also great but the ribbon was stupidly short so not only did it quickly run out of ink but would soon physically fail.
