It isn't a Tab as such, just the word Extensions at the left-hand side.
AdBlock Plus should do what you want fine anyway. I prefer AdBlock as you can set it to get rid of other junk that isn't strictly-speaking adverts, things like "Other people looked at..." on e-Bay.
