Last time I messed with this I was definitely getting audio output, that is a pop when you tap with a screwdriver. I think it must be the other stages. For some reason the signal isn't getting through. It would help me to see if I can get a basic cassette technical handbook and also the workshop manual. I wonder if it's a capacitor that failed somewhere? I think I need to find out but, for now, I just lengthened some wires so I can move the set around more easily. All connections seem fine.
