Recently bought this radio on eBay. OK, it doesn't look all that exciting and in fact if it had been an ordinary AC mains set I'll wouldn't given it a second glance.
It's the model 69B and is very similar to the model 67B details of which can be found in the volume II of the Malloy and Poole radio servicing book.
The reason why I bought it is because it is a battery set and employs the Mazda octal series of 2 volt valves. TP25, VP23, HL23DD and QP25.
The chassis is a bit rusty but that doesn't bother me. It'll get it repainted someday.
Also interesting it is a product of Pye (Ireland) Ltd. Made in the Dublin works.
