I had great fun restoring my TSC1113 a couple of years ago! As you say, mains derived EHT on a separate chassis bolted to the front of the main chassis. Be careful of the tags on the mains transformer which looks like a giant LOPT with the common Ekco straight brass wire tags. These are subject to brass rot and can snap off just below the surface - I had to excavate a couple on my transformer!
The hinged CRT mechanism is very clever and it is fairly easy to disable the counterbalance springs to get at the tube. Hopefully, yours is OK as mine is a bit week! I look forward to the thread, Geordie.
