Now that's interesting, David. I've got a couple of icing guns, but as they're metal would need lining with something, and some OC44s - thanks for reminding me as I'll have to test them.

I winced at ten bob for transistors as I'd regard that as pricey even today. Just for comparison's sake, what did valves cost back then?
