Maplin have certainly got expensive lately. I've just checked for axial leaded Polypropylene capacitors, and they only seem to stock those 'Audio Grade' types at £3 or more each, depending on the value & woking voltage. In addition, putting 'axial lead capacitors' in their search box produces a list which includes Fans, Cables etc. as well for some strange reason! I occasioally visit a Maplin Branch, there are four within 30 miles, but as others have said, catering for the likes of those of us who buy small quantities of components, is not what they're really about any more
