Not sure Alan, I can't remember if there were any holes on the faces that aren't shown, it could have been at one time but my guess is that it's last use before I got it was as an external front door lintel from an old demolished cottage, you can see a sort of darker oval area on the front (center), there are two holes, one at either end of that oval, they had red plastic rawlplugs in them, probably holding an oval plaque with a house number on it.
