If you want to try CCleaner again, there is an 'Options' > 'Cookies' selection which allows you to select which cookies are not deleted.
I use it this way and can log in automatically to all my favourite sites even after a clean.
The quickest way to build up the cookie list is to clean and then log into the site you want to keep and see what new 'cookies on the computer' have arrived.

ps No problems with Chrome, just tick the 'no' box and carry on. (Using the back button takes you back to the page before the box was ticked.)
