That is the essential idea of this thread: my attempt to stimulate a meaningful and an objective discussion on an important topic. As others here have pointed out, the use of isolating transformers is often not fully understood. So this thread has two objectives: one, to stimulate a discussion on the use of such transformers and secondly, an illustration of an alternative way of using one.
