Super drawings Alan - strewth - wouldn't know where to start
Lucky that it came with a base - it doesn't look like any valve base and it's not like the usual 6-pin coil bases. Must be quite rare I guess, and more in keeping 'vintage wise' than a (much sought after) DRR2. Nothing here looks like it - but the closest in style is the B5, which has a centre pin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tube_socket
