2SB405 are the output transistors, the output transformer in the schematic looks as though it operates at two power levels,
Normally the Eagle LT700 is a good substitute for lower output transistor radios, the LT700 is to drive a 3 ohm speaker.
Occasionally larger transistor output transformers turn up on Ebay.
