What sort of Battery is it?
14 Hours for a NiCd or NiMH would be about right unless they're going in for fairly brutal 'Fast charging'. However, you'd expect that to be at 0.1C, that is 900mA or so.
If it's Lithium it could be a lot higher.
What does the Manual say?
