Well here is a picture of the overlay as fitted to the TV and from a hi-res print it looks excellent. Apparently it went on trouble free with 3M photo mount and was given several coats of lacquer, some before and after.
The TV has been restored by a top man for 'teles' and I did have some pics ... but I cant find them !! Inside it is really beautifully wired ( I expect Lawrence remembers ). All discrete components on tag panels and very neatly done. The cabinet was professionally refinished.
To me, for a rectangular box, it comes out very well and I think its the beautiful stand that does it. It somehow gives it a style beyond the box.
I'm not into old TV's but I would happily buy this one were it for sale.
Oh! and for BVWS member I'm assured that the restoration will be a Bulletin article soon.
