I'm following this thread with great interest, as I have a need for a couple of coils wavewound on Aladdin formers for a restoration project (although I'm thinking I might be coming to you cap in hand to see if you would wind them for me...............)
One thing I have read somewhere is that it is beneficial to sparingly apply shellac varnish as the coil build up, to prevent the turns slipping off, and then apply a layer after the coil is finished. Have you tried this idea, or do you have any thoughts on it?
