Yours looks older than mine, and all that Black Wiring is very unhelpful.
However, it should be all very logical.
If you remove that Spacer in your Picture so that you can get at the Roller Connections note that mine has a tiny extra Spacer, a sort of thick Washer with a flat side, under it.
I would think that wire would be fine, although you could use something a bit thicker for the Heaters.
