They're most likely Record 'Fibregrip' jaws. I've had a set for about 25 years, and very good they are too. They just clip on and off in an instant. I guess that because of modern developments in magnet technology that the powerful magnetic ones that have come onto the market have to a large extent superseded the clip-on ones, but the clip-on ones are still available, marketed by Record Irwin. (I say 'marketed' rather than 'manufactured' because I don't think Record manufacture anything in Sheffield anymore - AFIK they import stuff from the PRC and just 'brand' it, trading on their past reputation.)

The current ones aren't quite the same, but very similar.
