Many thanks for taking the time to add this thread Luke and to hopefully prevent yet another lathe going to scrap. If there are no takers on this forum could you please suggest to the lathe owner to post it on eBay or Gumtree where it is sure to sell.
What a lucky escape for me though because this lathe looks perfect as a full restoration project and once restored will give years of excellent service; I would have been making space for it had t been local? I've only got four lathes at the moment so could possibly squeeze another one in?
I would encourage anyone remotely interested in this lathe to buy it because restoring a lovely old heavy duty lathe such as this is a wonderful experience whilst giving something so useful to use at the end. I'd love to get my hands on it.
The way GF members are buying lathes perhaps GF will end up being renamed Golborne Lathe Forum?
