Hi,
Today's update. I'm pleased the mandrel went home without putting up a fight. I've provisionally adjusted the mandrel but once the lathe is under power again and allowed to run up to operating temperature I'll fine tune the bearings adjustments. Plenty oil was used during assembly and everything spins freely so its looking promising so far.
