Hi,
The new router was placed near where the old router had been Lawrence; in my ignorance I didn't know the position of the new router would cause a problem so I've easily pulled cable through and now the router sits on my desk; I'll see how it performs here and any problems I'll simply use the wall plugs as suggested by Colin after all I've bought the plugs in readiness?
I too thought for 50 years David I was paying into my own pension pot and all during that time I never had time to visit a supermarket in a works van wearing an Hi-Vis jacket but then my break times at work were always very limited to gulping food and drink down as quickly as possible; whilst I worked at Brooks my dinner time was spent sitting in the car trying to hide whilst eating sandwiches having switched my pager off just to get a few minutes peace. Not only did I pay into my pension pot but my "stamp" paid for the other services like NHS; I also used to receive "married mans allowance" and " Mortgage interest relief" both in later years stripped from me. My Pension payments and stamp I assumed covered me into old age so I think I've paid my share into the system?
When Bron and I moved into this our dream bungalow 26 years ago we arrived in a Citroen 2CV whilst all our new neighbours ran big posh cars; we currently run an Aygo but plan to upgrade to a Skoda Fabia later this year; cars to me are just transport and I'll not enter into the "keeping up with the Jones's" I don't see the point of having a Porsche on the drive and be scared to use it clocking up mileage whilst worrying about running costs whilst the wife's much cheaper car gets used? Paying £250 for a Porsche car cover is alien to me when all it would take would be to clear clutter from the garage. A new Fabia will suit us and the neighbours can think of us as they like at least we are not in debt.
Thanks Colin for the information which I'll study in more detail shortly; in the meantime I'll play around with the Wi-Fi and if this proves time wasting I'll simply use the wall plugs but it all takes so much time?
Kind regards, Col.
