I've attached a copy of the circuit and the maker's description from which you'll note that it has an inductively coupled bandpass filter. I'm hoping that the bandpass filter unit is intact and working, because if not, the chances of my repairing it are slightly less than zero! It's a mini rat's nest of fine wire and the switch is sealed so you can't clean or lubricate it. I believe that Gary did dismantle one in a Ekco AC97, but he's made of sterner stuff than me!
I took a lot of pics before I dismantled it, and based on Gary's sound advice, I made drawings of the wiring of valveholders and the two tagboards. Before I got in too deep, I soon discovered that pics on their own aren't much use. I've also been writing up what I've done so I don't forget because weeks go by with me not ding anything at it, and as it progresses, it's easy to forget or overlook something. (Well it is for me anyway!).
