I didn't watch that video before: indeed a beautiful restoration and almost too good to use !
Well, its a matter of opinion but to me that lathe, as a show off piece, in the green is OK. But for a working lathe to me its too obtrusive. I think your original colour is grey ? and I would keep it original and grey (sort of battleship) should look good and business like.
But that's only my opinion so please ignore of course.
