It's a 2L 140bhp diesel and is currently averaging 38mpg over 15500miles. The previous Octavia had basically the same engine and averaged just over 40mpg over 41000miles. If Yorkshire was a bit flatter I think the mpg would be better. When we moved up here from Leicester I think the mpg on both the cars we had at the time dropped by about 10% due to the hills around here.
The trip computer tends to over estimate the mpg typically by 5-10%.
It's only had one service at 10000 miles which was £132 at DM Keith in Bradford.
