Hopefully Colin you'll soon be another happy Skoda owner. The Skodas I've had have been the most complex but the most reliable cars I've ever owned. I will admit to liking a few "goodies" on my cars though. One of the best has to be a heated windscreen. Originally exclusive to Fords, due I believe to patent issues, they are now available on VW group cars, but not on the Fabia (yet). With a frosty windscreen start the engine, press the button, wait a minute or so, operate the wipers and drive off with a clear windscreen. Ideal if the car is kept outside.

My Yeti is the original version with the big round foglamps and I don't intend changing it for some time. Unlike Colin I tend to buy cars new and keep them for several, typically 7 years.
