Mark, you state that DC is a straight line, DC is unidirectional but not always of a constant value in voltage/current terms.
I understand what you say about the DC offset concept but I still don't see how the direction of current flow is reversed in the context of my original post. Maybe I will just have to accept the fact that it does.
