If you take the output from a full wave rectifier and load it with a resistor you could AC couple the 100Hz ripple and filter it a little bit and full wave rectify it again to get 200Hz.
If you just put a smoothing capacitor across it you would get more like 95% DC and 5% ripple at 100 Hz.
You can get both extremes depending what you do with the pulsed DC that comes out of the rectifier.
