A table top lathe would get a few small jobs with me but it would have to be old enough not to have all sorts of bits of plastic on it for sure as they would just crack and fall off.
I would be quite happy replacing a set of head stock bearings if needed. It is just a case of finding one that is cheap enough for me to be able to afford it. Printed circuits do not belong on a lathe. They need to be well away from all the turnings if speed control is required.
