I was going to look up the thread today as I intend to go and see If my local machine tool guy has one before I chase one up on the web.
The bit of angle forms the lens mount and will replace the shiny cylinder and provide the tripod mount as a single component and will form the heart of the home made chassis.
There is enough electronics to make at least two and only metalwork for one in my box of bits.
