Thanks Alan. Rewinding electric motors is interesting. I worked at Brook Motors here in Huddersfield for 24 years and Brooks had a dedicated department solely for the purpose of rewinding this being No8 spares & Repairs. Unfortunately Brook Motors like UK engineering in general is now manufactured in India or Poland which is scandalous given our engineering heritage and should never ever have been allowed to happen?
Whilst working at Brooks I considered a Brook motor to be the best motor manufactured in mass production anywhere in the world.
