Yes Colin; I browsed lots of websites trying to find bands at 79" long including Toolstation and eBay.
Good idea Gary; yes I could have tried the spraying chrome out on this Wilmac but boy it would have taken a heck of a lot of filling and preparation given the rough castings. As you rightly say Gary I would sell it for something better but given that this Wilmac has a cast iron frame and such a good cutting capacity I doubt I'll find a modern small bandsaw which is better on this footprint size. I'm sure once its running again I'll be very happy with it and not want to part with it especially after the many hours I've spent in restoring it.
