After some cleaning up the record changer now works. I've temporarily wired it up so I could connect the deck from outside the cab. I've discovered that the stylus can be removed from the cartridge and getting a replacement stylus is much more affordable than a complete cartridge. It's amazing that the belts and idler wheel are all in such good condition after 45 years in the loft.
The NOS EM85 has also arrived so I just need to put everything back together and I'd say we're done with this project. I will need to rig up a light for the cab interior but that shouldn't be a problem. It sounds lovely so this one is a keeper.
