Certainly all the channels are overkill but you should always be able to find a couple that work 
Speed, well no harm in having that you might build some TTL logic stuff sometime and its nice to see square edges.
I have a 2 channel Tek with 2 timebases (one can delay the other and only used for logic to blow up part of a waveform). So one timebase is never used now.
Its solid state and has been very reliable, beautifully built of course.
Will a Hameg work with a Wob? I don't know, my Tek does. Does it have ext trigger?
Complexity is no problem for me as I used these scopes every day when working, for years, for Cmos, TTL, E sq L etc
Think it would be no prob to you either ... Just stick to Main timebase and use whatever channels you need. Often the different triggering modes on these more complex scopes are handy and Teks trigger particularly well.
If the price is right and you can test it I would go for it.
