The TR82DAB I bought back in 2005 has been in daily use (at least a hour every day for BBC World Service, BBC 4 Extra, BBC 5 SX) and so far I've not had a problem with it.
So my advice would be to see how it goes and only change the regulator and electrolytics if it becomes necessary.
