I got started on the Tonfunk radio chassis. It looks in great condition but it may not be completely straightforward to get it back in action.
The line fuse on the tfo was blown and badly rusted - I found 220v tap on tfo had snapped off so I added a short extension to it to relieve the stress on the wire, etc. I found half a dozen resistors (so far) that were way out of tolerance and I've just started on the paper caps - they all leak and are way off on capacitance value so plenty of component swapping to do. The main filter cap (both sections) leak badly once the voltage gets to around 300V (rated for 385v) so I've ordered up a replacement.
The variable condenser for AM was jammed solid (grease turned to glue, etc.) but I managed to free it up without dismantling the whole thing!
Cheers, John
