Well if you have a Virgin or Sky box, ours is Virgin, then its easy to record everything with adverts (ours can record 2 (latest box is 3) and watch one). Then simply watch all the programs later, with ads, and skip thru them with the fast forward buttons (X 2, 6, 12, 32).

If we do watch something live with ads (occasionally) then I can set the Yamaha Sound Bar to equalise everything to the same level. The technology is there.
