When you've stripped your Wilmac (by whatever means) Colin, I don't know what you've got in mind for a primer, but you might like to consider U-Pol#8 Acid Etch, which comes in 450mL aerosols, so quite a large can. Surprisingly, Halford's stock this primer - not cheap at £12.99, but the list price is £29.00, though I know RRP is meaningless. It's no cheaper on e-bay or Amazon, for which I know you don't have an account.
The u-Pol stall-holder at Rufforth has it for use in spray guns, which may be cheaper, but I've not seen it there in aerosols. (I've had U-Pol 'Wed-Thru' primer from him in aerosol out of curiosity to see if it is conductive and would be useful for screening to repair metalising on valves. (The answer is 'no', on both counts).
U-Pol #8 Acid Etch is excellent of course for bare radio chassis preparation, especially aluminium.
