I will make a turntable Colin, as the other Colin said its easy to make and have standing in a corner.
Very interesting film of the car being stripped, charged a lot for it though.
For radio work a sand blasting or bead blasting cabinet is al that is needed. I had a place that refurbed ali wheels and the lads would do me a chassis + all the other parts for a fiver. I'm not sure which it was sand or bead but it cleaned all but the deepest rust and that had to be done by hand. Pretty easy, a scraper and phosphoric acid and a scrape of filler.
The beauty of the blasting was the beautiful keyed surface for re-spraying.
Then the place closed down.
For plated chassis getting a re-plate in old nickel cant be beat. The sulphuric acid pre-treatment kills all the rust and then the plating comes up looking quite dull and original. And at the time all for about £25 for the chassis and as many other parts as I wanted to include. The only downside was I did hear of horror stories of bits going missing !
