Hi,
I finally got back into the garage this morning to resume work on this wayward bandsaw.
Seller refurbished when I bought it; I like a laugh? I doubt I could have made a worse paint job as seen in the picture below if I simply poured the paint on or applied it with a sweeping brush. This is without a doubt the worst ever paint job I have ever seen; the runs and curtains are unbelievable.
I've tried removing the paint using my Aldi detail sander which works but is rather slow; I've tried using my brand new expensive Fein Multicut with scraper fitted and also with the carbide heavy sander both again rather slow and I've used an engineers scraper to attack the paint with. What an excellent pastime removing paint is. Yes its me under the safety kit. I wonder if I can improve on this paint finish?
I'm just pleased to be clear of urgent jobs to do allowing me to potter around in peace; it's wonderful not being under pressure.
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
