Is this another Band Saw Colin? I seem to remember a black one that might become cream. I think you chould make restoring this sort of kit into a hobby as you obviously enjoy it so much. Could you break even once restored (discounting time) ?
I seem to have read some where that cast iron glues pretty good if not taking too much load? But you know you are going to make a new one as that's where the fun is
