I've done a few checks, and hope that the pics below will indicate that all seems to be well with the wobby.
As I said earlier, I built a sawtooth generator into the wobby and hence used a different front panel from the one in Radio Bygones, and added an additional control to adjust the sawtooth for a flicker free display. I've attached a pic of the modified front panel for which I claim no credit - the artwork was designed by Colin Armstrong, who also supplied the info on the sawtooth genny design, and was a great help to me.
There's a pic of the sawtooth output, one of the wobby coupled up to the scope, one of the output of the wobby at 465 KHz, and a shot of the Robin frequency counter displaying the frequency. Also the ext trig input of my Hameg 203-7 scope to which I coupled the output of the sawtooth on the wobby. (Haven't yet got around to using it in anger on a receiver - I must dig out a TR82C or some such thing to poke around with!).
I think the RF probe has become a diversion from getting round to using the wobby.
