Again, the latest photograph looks excellent. It's virtually impossible to tell which are the original bars and which are your replacements. A first-rate restoration!
Since from your comment you seem unaware John, Bill also went by the username "batterymaker1" on the UKVRR forum. That was/is still? his big interest - making authentic working reproduction vintage batteries.
He regularly posted threads showing his latest batteries and covers he had done. He also took on orders and made excellent reusable radio batteries for many of the forum members at very reasonable prices.
Then a couple of years ago he announced that he would be giving up taking orders due to a change of job and simply not having as much free time to construct batteries for other people as he once had with his earlier work. I seem to remember his change of job pretty much coincided with the death of his mother as well, so a lot of upheaval and stress to deal with at the time.
He hasn't posted on UKVRR since then, but as you are aware seems to frequent his YouTube channel still. I think he has a Facebook page as well.
